Pyin Oo Lwin Military Academy Attacked with Shock Missiles ~~~ ■ Locals of Pyin Oo Lwin said that the military academy (DSA) of the Military Council Army (DSA) in Pyin Oo Lwin town, Mandalay Region was attacked with shock missiles early this morning on April 8th. A Pyin Oo Lwin resident said that three explosions were heard inside the Military Academy. "At four o'clock in the morning, I heard a loud noise. Like lightning. I heard from the military training school outside the city. I don't know what happened. Because they are inside." He said that since the explosion, the Military Council has been tightening inspections at the entrances and exits of Pyin Oo Lwin. The National Unity Government (NUG) announced that the attack was carried out by the Mandalay Region People's Defense Forces and fired five 107 mm shock missiles. The Military Council has not released any news regarding this matter, and RFA contacted the Mandalay Regional Spokesperson of the Military Council, Regional Economy Minister U Thein Htay, but he did not receive a reply. In the vicinity of Pyin Oo Lwin, the Mandalay Region People's Defense Forces as well as Taang National Liberation Army (TNLA) forces are also active, and there are frequent clashes with the Military Council.
