In Nay Pyi Taw, 28 unmanned kamikaze drones attacked military headquarters and Ela Airport, including the home of coup leader General Min Aung Hlaing, on the morning of April 4, drone forces said.

The extent of the damage caused by the attack is not yet known, but the security has been repeatedly cordoned off. Officers and soldiers who participated in the Non-Violent Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) commented to the Irrawaddy that being able to attack and threaten Nay Pyi Taw, a stronghold of the military leaders, could be a shock for the military leaders.

The attack was carried out by KLOUD Team under NUG. People involved told The Irrawaddy that the attack was carried out by the Orion Drone Team and the Power of Ababil (POA) drone team of Taungnu District Public Defense Battalion No. (3502).
