On 27 March 2024, in Dhamma Tha village (Kyaikmaraw township, Mawlamyine district, Mon state), the Myanmar military launched airstrikes on the village and the military navy fired artillery rounds into the village at around 4 pm. A civilian was killed, and 38 others sustained injuries. About 300 houses were also burned down.
