On 28 March 2024, an IED planted by suspected ISWAP or Boko Haram militants detonated on travelling military forces from the Rapid Intervention in Ouro Kesoum, along the Amchide - Kolofata road, coded to Amchide (Kolofata, Mayo-Sava, Extreme-Nord). There were no fatalities or injuries. The military armored vehicle sustained minor damages. The explosive detonated on the same road where the military had cleared another IED earlier in the day (coded as a separate event).
