On March 21, at least 21 civilians were killed and 50 others were injured in an explosion when a suicide bomber passed the Taliban checkpoint and detonated among Taliban fighters gathered outside the Kabul Bank branch near the Taliban commander’s headquarters in the 1st Police District (PD) in Kandahar City of Kandahar Province, reports The Khaama Press News Agency. The Taliban Ministry of Interior Affairs stated that the explosion was carried out by the Islamic State - Khorasan Province (IS-KP). No group has yet claimed responsibility for this explosion.
