On 14 March 2024, in Paungde township (Pyay district, Bago-West region), the People's Defense Force - Paungde (battalion 3601) carried out mine attacks against Myanmar military troops with cluster mines twice while they were on the Bo Yone Taung mountain ranges. Two military troops were killed, and two others sustained severe injuries.
