On 18 March 2024, in Pakokku township (Pakokku district, Magway region), the combined troops of the Pakokku Special Task Force, People's Defense Force - Pakokku (PaKaPha) Company - 1, Myay Latt Area Guerrilla Force, People's Defense Force - Pakokku District Battalion - 13 and Bagan Nyaung-U Special Task Force attacked the patrolling Myanmar military troops of around 35 soldiers in two vehicles with three clusters mines near the Shwe Tant Tit pagoda around 3:30 pm. A military vehicle was destroyed and many military soldiers were injured.
