On 20 March 2024, in Monywa township (Monywa district, Sagaing region), a combined force of the Brave Heart Army and Chindwin Fighter Group attacked five military vehicles coming from the military base (LID-33) three times, with four mines at around 5:55 pm, three mines at around 5:57 pm and three mines at around 6 pm on the Monywa - Chaung-U road section. The combined force then attacked four military vehicles coming back to the military base (LID-33) two more times, with four mines at around 10:10 pm and four mines at around 10:11 pm. A total of 16 military soldiers were killed.
