Two people were killed and three others wounded Sunday in Israeli air strikes on Lebanon's southeastern village of Adaysseh and the eastern town of Rashaya al-Wadi, Lebanese military sources told Xinhua.The sources, who spoke anonymously, said that Israeli warplanes carried out several air strikes on three towns and villages in southeastern Lebanon, one of which struck Adaysseh, killing a Hezbollah fighter and wounding three civilians.The sources added that an Israeli drone fired an air-to-surface missile at a civilian car while it was driving on a road between Rashaya al-Wadi and Masnaa bordering Syria in eastern Lebanon, killing a Syrian driver.A medical source told Xinhua that a deceased and three wounded were transferred to the Tebnine Governmental Hospital in the central sector of southern Lebanon, and another deceased was transferred to a hospital in Bekaa in eastern Lebanon.The sources said Israel also fired 30 shells on seven towns and villages in the border area in southern Lebanon.Meanwhile, Hezbollah said its fighters targeted several Israeli sites, including al-Raheb, al-Alam, and Al-Samaqa.The Lebanon-Israel border has been witnessing increased tension since Oct. 8, 2023, after Lebanese armed group Hezbollah fired dozens of rockets toward Israel in support of the Hamas attack on Israel the previous day, prompting Israel to respond by firing heavy artillery toward southeastern Lebanon.The confrontations between Hezbollah and Israel have killed 365 people on Lebanese territory, including 239 Hezbollah members and 73 civilians, according to Lebanese security sources.
