On March 16, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that seven soldiers, including two officers were killed in a suicide attack on a Security Forces (SF) post in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, reports The Dawn. It has been stated that six terrorists were also neutralised in the subsequent clearance operation. The deceased soldiers were identified as Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif Ali, Captain Muhammad Ahmed Badar, Havildar Sabir, Naik Khurshid, Sepoy Nasir, Sepoy Raja and Sepoy Sajjad. The incident occurred when an armed group attacked the military post using a vehicle laden with explosives as well as suicide bombs. Hafiz Gul Bahadur (HGB) affiliated group Jaish Al-Fursan claimed responsibility for the attack on their affiliated encrypted channels through a spokesperson identified as Nasratullah Waziristani, adds The Khorashan Diary.
