Security Forces (SFs) recovered 10 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) planted by cadres of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) in West Singhbhum District of Jharkhand on March 13, reports The Week. The SFs comprising Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Jharkhand Jaguar (JJ) and District Armed Police (DAP) were carrying out anti-Maoist operation when they detected the IEDs planted by CPI-Maoist cadres to target them in a forest near Jimki Ikeer Bagan village, Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashutosh Shekhar said. The IEDs were recovered and destroyed on the spot by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), the Police said.
