A major terrorist plot aimed at targeting Adiala jail, a high-security prison in Rawalpindi city (Rawalpindi District) of Punjab, was thwarted as the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested three terrorists, Rawalpindi Police Chief Syed Khalid Hamdani revealed in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) on March 6. Three terrorists, hailing from Afghanistan, were arrested along with a cache of heavy weapons and ammunition, which included IEDs, hand grenades and a detailed map of the prison, Police Chief, Syed Khalid Hamdani posted.|
