SAA event in Langol in Imphal West District, Manipur area, India on Fri 3rd March 2023

On March 3, United National Liberation Front-Pambei (UNLF-P) faction abduceted three village volunteers identified as Khwairakpam Kumar (40), Nongthombam Goroba (38) and Sougrakpam Hemjit (36) along with arms and ammunition at Langol in Imphal West District of Manipur, the 'in-charge' of the outfit’s 'chief of Army Staff' Th Thoiba alias Sidabamapu stated on March 4, reports The Sangai Express. They also took away four self-loading rifles (SLR) with magazines, three INSAS Rifles with magazines, one mini INSAS with a magazine, one gun with 16 rounds, three bullet-proof vests and one Samurai sword. A total of 122 ammunition were also taken away from their possession. UNLF claimed that the three persons were causing trouble and fear among the members of the public.
