Counting by the military council to draw civilians into the army; Two village administrators were shot and killed in Mandalay and Magway during the start of the lottery. On the night of the 18th of this month, Governor U Myint Htoo, who is over 50 years old, was shot and killed while exhorting people to join the army with a megaphone in Phak Tai Village, north of Slin, Magway Province. On March 19, Silin Township People's Defense Group reported that a hand-made gun and a talking machine were found and cleared as a military target when the governor under the military council was arrested. "Armed governors, Pyu is a military target. Otherwise, if they obey the military council's pressure because they are not able to push, we plan to take lenient measures," said an official of the Public Administration Organization (PAA) of Silin Township. "However, due to the fact that they are armed, they have reached the point where they have to be cleared as a military target." He said that the Military Council in the Wards and Villages of Slin Township has been lecturing and organizing about the Military Service Law, and about 10 Ward Level Administrators in Slin Township have resigned due to pressure to implement the Military Service Law.
