On 8 March 2024, in Za Bu Thi Ri village of Taungtha township (Myingyan district, Mandalay region), joint forces of the Myingyan District Drone Strike (MDDS) and five other local PDFs carried out drone strikes against about 100 Myanmar military troops who raided the village between 1 pm to 2 pm. Irrawaddy and Khit Thit Media reported the drone strikes killed four military soldiers and injured many others. Another source, Myanmar Pressphoto Agency reported the drone strikes killed three military soldiers and injured six others. Fatalities coded as 3 for the lowest estimates.
