On 14 March 2024, in Taungoo township (Taungoo district, Bago-East region), the Mountain Knights Civilian Defense Force attacked the Myanmar military's Taungoo airbase with five improvised rockets at around 8:44 pm. Three of the rockets landed inside the airbase compound, while two of them failed to explode due to technical errors. One of the rockets hit an aircraft, another landed near the weapon storage facility, and a third one landed near the aviation fuel storage facility. According to Khit Thit Media, two military troops were killed, and three others sustained critical injuries.
