Nizhny Novgorod refinery stopped oil refining installation due to drone attack - rossmi

📍The largest primary oil refining unit has been shut down, a source at the enterprise told Kommersant. According to him, the installation was stopped after a fire due to a drone attack.

📍According to Reuters sources, at the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery , as a result of a UAV attack, the AVT-6 unit, which provides more than 50% of the refinery’s production, was damaged.

📍The Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery can process about 17 million tons of oil per year. This enterprise produces 11% of gasoline produced in Russia, writes Reuters.

📍Earlier today, the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, reported that a drone attacked a fuel and energy complex facility in the Kstovo industrial zone, and a fire occurred at one of the oil refining installations . Nikitin did not specify which facility the fire was at, but it is in the Kstovo industrial zone that Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez is located.
