On 1 March 2024, in Hopong township (Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, Shan-South state), the Myanmar military fired missiles around 60 times without an armed clash occurring. Some houses were destroyed and locals were forced to flee as the military fired missiles. Casualties unknown.
