On 3 March 2024, in Nam Hkun Long (Taung Thone Lone) village (Namtu township, Kyaukme district, Shan-North state), two brothers discovered and played with an M-9 artillery round belonging to the military soldiers near the military base (LIB-243), accidently detonating it at around 1:30 pm. One 14-year-old brother was killed and another 11-year-old was injured.
