On 4 March 2024, in Ponnagyun township (Sittwe district, Rakhine state), the military conducted airstrikes 12 times with two fighter jets at the Zay Ti Pyin bridge on the Ponnagyun-Rathedaung road in Taw Hpyar Chaung area around 5 pm. The military then conducted airstrikes on the town around 5:45 pm with a helicopter after the ULA/AA attacked and captured the LIB-550 and controlled the Ponnagyun town. Casualties unknown.
