On 5 March 2024, in Kyauktaw town of Kyauktaw township (Mrauk-U district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military forces carried out multiple airstrikes on the electrical supply office, the agricultural school building, and a monastery in the town using a fighter jet at around 1 am. A 17-year-old boy sustained injuries, and the township electricity office was damaged by airstrikes.
