On 20 February 2024, the Nigerian Airforce launched airstrikes at a group of Katsina militia in the Dogon Karfe area, close to Gulbin Baure Forest Reserve (Jibia, Katsina). The militiamen had hijacked the trucks along Gulbin- Baure road before driving them to a forest feeder road in Dogon Karfe. The truck drivers and other people escaped the airstrike. There were no fatalities.
