On 21 February 2024, in Taung Khin village (Kyauktaga township, Bago district, Bago-East region), the Myanmar military LIB-20 and IB-264 based in Peinzalot town fired two rounds of heavy weapons and destroyed houses and a monastery in the village. Casualties unknown.
