On 26 February 2024, Israeli jets carried out three airstrikes on Aita ech Chaab (Bint Jbeil, Al Nabatieh) amid ongoing hostilities with Hezbollah. The Israeli military announced that its fighter jets struck Hezbollah military infrastructure in the town. One Hezbollah member was killed and two medics were injured in the attack and their ambulance was severely damaged.
