On 16 February 2024, in Ma-Ei town (Toungup township, Thandwe district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military blew up the Ma-Ei creek bridge located on the Toungup-Ann-Sittwe road using mines at around 9:25 pm. The measure was taken with the aim of preventing the ULA/AA from following them as they withdrew from their bases in the town to relocate to Ann town (coded separately). The houses at the base of the Ma-Ei bridge and a school in the town were also destroyed by the military troops. Casualties unknown.
