On 17 February 2024, the Malian air force carried out an airstrike against civilians in the village of Konokasi (Niono, Segou). Dozens of people were killed and several were wounded including severely. The victims had come to bury other civilians killed by an air strike during a wedding ceremony on 16 February 2023. 10 fatalities coded.
