On 19 February 2024, in War Taw village of Hsihseng township (Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, Shan-South state), the Myanmar military troops LIB-425 and 246 fired heavy artillery shells on a vehicle carrying civilians who returned homes to retrieve their belongings near the village at around 6 am. Radio Free Asia, Khit Thit Media, Myanmar Now, and Myanmar Pressphoto Agency reported the event as the military's shelling and three civilians including a six-month-old baby were killed and five others were injured. Shan Herald Agency for News, Myanmar Pressphoto Agency, Khit Thit Media and Shwe Phee Myay Agency for News reported the military used drone strikes and killed seven civilians and injured six others. Fatalities coded 7 using the up-to-date report.
