On 20 February 2024, in San Hpu village (Hopong township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, Shan-South state), following the clash between the PNLA and a combined force of the military and PNA (coded separately), the military from Pong Ae village fired artillery rounds on the village, hitting and destroying 10 houses. Casualties unknown.
