On 20 February 2024, near Kyeik Kwin village (Kyauktaga township, Bago district, Bago-East region), a mine planted by an unidentified armed group exploded and destroyed the No.103/6 section of the railroad bridge at around 9:20 pm. The railway authority accused their workers of planting the mine. There were no casualties.
