On 20 February 2024, in Than Ta Dar/Kone Hkar/Ma Len village (Mansi township, Bhamo district, Kachin state), after the KIA had taken over the base camp (coded separately), the military continued to conduct airstrikes on the village until evening, hitting and destroying some schools and houses. DVB reported that over 10 locals from Sikangyi and Than Ta Dar villages were killed and 10 locals were also injured during the four-day airstrikes (17 - 20 February). Radio Free Asia reported that 11 locals were killed during the four-day strikes (17 - 20 February). Six fatalities (5 in Sikangyi and 1 in Than Ta Dar) were explicitily reported on 17 February and thus total 4 fatalities coded using the lowest estimate. 4 fatalities were split across two events (Sikangyi and Tan Ta Dar village), coded as 2 for this event.
