On 20 February 2024, an artillery shell, believed to be fired by the Israeli military, fell on the park area in Al Wazzani town (Hasbeiya, Al Nabatieh) amid ongoing hostilities with Hezbollah. The Israeli army also fired heavy machine gunfire towards the town. There were no casualties.
