On February 25, three persons identified as Nijesh Langthasa, Manik Haflongbar and Kumud alias Rothai Phonglo were arrested after a huge cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from their possession in Diphu in Karbi Anglong District of Assam, reports Northeast Now. The recovered weapons included an AK-47 assault rifle, three 0.32 mm pistols, a hand-made pistol, magazines with live rounds and hand grenades.
