Projectile event in Donetsk, Kurakhivka area, Ukraine on Tue 27th February 2024

The Russian occupiers fired artillery at a private enterprise in the Kurakhiv community. One person died, five others were injured, among them one person is in serious condition.

This is reported by the Prosecutor's Office of the Donetsk region.

"On February 27, the enemy shelled the Kurakhiv urban territorial community with barrel artillery. A private enterprise was in the affected area. A 32-year-old employee died on the way to the medical facility due to the injuries he received," the report says.

The prosecutor's office added that five more people were hospitalized with shrapnel wounds to the limbs and neck, a fracture, a ruptured artery, and chest wounds. Three men and two women aged 55 to 70 are among the injured. One of the victims is in serious condition.

The explosions also damaged the enterprise building and cars. A pre-trial investigation has been launched in criminal proceedings for violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
