A woman from Rasem Al-Hamam in Al-Khafsah district within regime-held area in western Aleppo countryside, was killed by the explosion of an old landmine, while herding sheep.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 19 civilians, including 15 children and a woman , due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2024. In addition, 30 civilians, including 22 children and a woman, sustained various injuries.

The casualties are distributed regionally as follows:

 Regime-controlled areas: 12 fatalities, including eight children and a woman , and 22 injured civilians, including a woman and 14 children.

 SDF-held areas: Seven fatalities, seven children, and eight injured children.
