On 8 February 2024, in the upper area of Ah Pauk Wa village (Kyauktaw township, Mrauk-U district, Rakhine state), the ULA/AA continued to attack one more military vessel on the Kaladan River. Both sides exchanged fire for two days (7 - 8 February). The military responded with airstrikes by dropping bombs with a helicopter. The military vessel sank in the river. Four military vessels also came to rescue their military troops during the two-day fight but couldn't approach the battlefield due to the AA blocking them. There were over 10 injuries on the AA side during the two-day fight. An AA member also lost his life while rescuing people from the sinking vessels during the two-day fight. Narinjara News reported there were 10 fatalities on the military side during the two-day fight. Fatalities split across two days (between 7 and 8 February), coded as 5 for this event.
