On 4 February 2024, in Nyar Dawei village (Thaton township, Thaton district, Mon state), two artillery shells fired by the Myanmar military's No.402 artillery unit landed in the village at 10:32 pm. A 42-year-old woman sustained injuries in the left knee, and 12 houses were damaged.
