On 4 February 2024, in Mindat town (Mindat township, Mindat district, Chin state), the Myanmar military planted a remote explosive in Ah Shayt Pyin ward, which exploded and injured a 12-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl. They were injured while cleaning their house and a 14-year-old girl lost her leg and a 12-year-old boy was injured in the back. Locals claimed that the military took them to IB-274 to provide medical treatment.
