On 7 February 2024, a remote-controlled IED planted by Al Shabaab detonated, targeting a convoy of Puntland Dervish forces at Ex-control point in the vicinity of Bosaso town (Bossaso, Bari). There were no fatalities. Three soldiers were injured and the vehicle was damaged. Al Shabaab claimed responsibility.
