On 7 February 2024, a US drone strike killed a Kataib Hezbollah (KH) commander (Wisam Muhammad Sabir AKA Abu Bakr Al Saadi) in the Mashtal area of Baghdad - 9 Nissan. The drone strike hit the target's parked civilian vehicle killing 3 and injuring 1 in total. Al Saadi was the commander of a KH missile/rocket unit. On the same day, two US drone strikes targeted a Popular Mobilization Forces warehouse in the Baladiyat area of Baghdad - 9 Nissan. Security forces closed roads leading to the Mashtal, Ur, and Baladiyat areas in response to the strikes. The US considers KH responsible for the fatal Tower 22 attack in Jordan on 28 January 2024. 3 fatalities.
