Southend police station evacuated after potential unexploded devices found

A police station was evacuated after two suspicious devices were found, Essex Police said.

Southend Police Station on Victoria Avenue was temporarily closed to the public while bomb specialists investigated the devices.

The Army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit "disposed of both objects", the force said.

Police have yet to provide details as to what the suspicious devices were. The police station has reopened.
