CBRN event in Manipur, Pechi in Thoubal District area, India on Sat 10th February 2024

On February 10, Assam Rifles in a joint operation with Manipur Police recovered a huge cache of arms at Pechi in Thoubal District of Manipur, reports Northeast Now. During the operation, five mortar shell, five Highly Explosive (HE)-36 hand grenade, one tear smoke grenade, one tear smoke shell, two tear smoke shell Soft Nose (SR), one 38 mm cartridge with rubber, one country made mortar shell, one 9mm Colt Machine Gun (CMG) with two magazine, one 7.65 mm pistol browning’s patent with one magazine, one Revolver (Country Made), one air gun and one Homogeneous Time Resolved Fluorescence (HTRF) walkie talkie were recovered.|On February 10, one tear gas gun, two country-made 9mm pistol along with magazine, six Single Barrel Breech Loading (SBBL) guns, four Improvised Mortar (Pumpi Gun) were recovered from fringe and vulnerable areas of Churachandpur District of Manipur, reports Northeast Now.
