During the anti-Naxal [Left Wing extremism, LWE] operation on February 7, a joint team of Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) 207 and Hawk Force, which was combing in Chakarwaha Forest area under Garhi Police Station limits in ??Balaghat District of Madhya Pradesh, had an encounter with the cadres of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), reports amarujala.com. The Maoists fled into the dense forest following retaliatory action by CoBRA 207 and Hawk Force. No CoBRA 207 or Hawk Force personnel were injured in this encounter. Cooker bombs made with the aim of harming the Police force were seized from the Maoists. Apart from this, the searching team also recovered a large quantity of daily items, medicines, etc. used by Maoists.|
