At least two Security Forces (SFs) personnel were reportedly killed and four other personnel were injured in an IED attack on a SF convoy on the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) highway in the Sami area of Kech District in Balochistan on January 16, reports The Balochistan Post. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack. BLA ‘spokesman’ Jeeyand Baloch said that “BLA fighters targeted a military convoy, resulting in the killing of two enemy personnel and injuring four others, while the vehicle was completely destroyed in the remote-controlled blast.”
