On January 16, Manipur Police stated that four cadres of People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) were arrested along with arms, ammunition, demand letters, and INR 22,000 in cash from different locations in Imphal West District of Manipur, reports Northeast Now. In one incident, two PREPAK-Progressive cadres were arrested for extortion of money from the general public in Imphal West District. While in another incident, Police raided a hideout and arrested two cadres of PREPAK-VC for extortion from various shops in Imphal West District. One .32 pistol along with one magazine with four live rounds were recovered from them.
