On January 14, five insurgents of National Liberation Front of Tripura - Parimal Debbarma faction (NLFT-PD), identified as Netajoy Reang alias Naising(33), Mohonda Reang alias Salthang(36), Sukumar Reang alias Sinai (27), Kiranjit Reang alias Berem(20) and Bishnuram Reang alias Baikang(26), surrendered before the Tripura Police with arms in Agartala in West Tripura District of Tripura, reports Northeast Now. Police stated that they surrendered with one Chinese Pistol, two Chinese-made rifles, 17 live rounds, a 70 mm short gun shell- 10(ten), a walkie-talkie with charging port, BDT 770, two Bangladeshi mobile SIM cards, five Extortion notice and five extortion receipts.
