SAA event in Arunachal Pradesh, Knoknu in Longding District area, India on Thu 11th January 2024

On January 11, a joint operation between Military Intelligence (ECIB), Security Forces (SFs) and the Longding Police resulted in the arrest of six hardcore cadres of National Socialist Council of Nagaland - Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) in Longding District of Arunachal Pradesh, reports India TodayNE. The arrested cadres, on interrogation, revealed information about a concealed cache of arms located between Knoknu and Khasa Villages. In response, the SFs extended their operation to the specified area, resulting in the recovery of three MQ assault rifles, detonators and various warlike stores.|On January 11, Assam Rifles arrested two active cadres of United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) identified as Swayambhu 2nd ‘Lieutenant’ Manuj Buragohain alias Pramod Axom and Masud Karim Sarkar alias Fatik Axom, while they were attempting to enter India via Arunachal Pradesh’s Lazio region in Khonsa Town in Tirap District, reports India TodayNE. The two cadres were said to have come from ULFA-I's Hachi camp in Myanmar and were apprehended while trying to cross the Indo-Myanmar border by crossing the border at Lazio in Arunachal Pradesh.
