On 27 January 2024, in Mrauk-U town (Mrauk-U township, Mrauk-U district, Rakhine state), artillery shells fired by the Myanmar military from the LIB-377, the LIB-540 and the 30th police battalion landed in Ah Lel Zay ward at around 10 pm. Four civilians were killed, and at least seven others sustained injuries. More than 20 houses were caught on fire. The military fired heavy weapons from the night of the 27th till the morning of the 28th of January.
