On 29 January 2024, in Hone village of Paletwa township (Matupi district, Chin state), the Myanmar military forces launched airstrikes three times on the village at around 1 pm. The airstrikes landed near a cooking oil trading store and killed seven local civilians. Six civilians were from Kyeik village and another one was from Daik Chaung village.
