On 30 January 2024, in Monywa township (Monywa district, Sagaing region), joint forces of Myaung Special People's Defense Force (MSPDF), NRDF: Natogyi Regional Defense Force, PDF - Monywa District (Battalion-12 Unit-2, Battalion-9, Battalion-5, Battalion-7), PDF - Meiktila District Battalion-3, People's Defense Force - Chauk, and SGF: Special Guerrilla Force Monywa carried out four drone strikes against the Myanmar military troops and Pyu Saw Htee stationed at Shwan Yae Gas station from 12 pm to 1:30 pm. The joint forces dropped three aerial bombs using 'Shar Htoo Waw' Fixed Wings drone. Four military soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members died in the drone strikes. Other source, Khit Thit media, reported that 2 military soldiers were killed. Fatalities coded as 2 using the lowest estimate.
