On 22 January 2024, ENDF launched two rounds of drone strikes against OLF Shane positions in Abulo and Kerero kebeles (location coded to Adola town, in Adola Rede woreda, East Guji, Oromia), resulting in an unknown number of civilians getting killed and properties destroyed. An unspecified number of fatalities (due to strikes in settlement areas) coded as 10. OLF accused the government forces of using poisonous bombs in the strikes.
